What is stem mastering?

Stem mastering is a way of mastering were you can deliver your tracks in a few layers (busses, stems).
Stem mastering is sometimes also called seperation mastering.

With this type of mastering it is possible to divide your rack in a few busses.
Each bus contains a part or some combined parts of your mix.
For example you could have the following stems.
– bassline,
– bassdrum,
– percussion,
– all vocals,
– all synths,
– rest of the mix
